With ${\displaystyle x}$ being the variable and ${\displaystyle a}$, ${\displaystyle b}$ and ${\displaystyle c}$ being constant, a quadratic function can be written as:

${\displaystyle (x + \frac{b}{2})^2 - ((\frac{b}{2})^2 - c)}$

This is one possible method to determine the x-intercepts. They can also be found by using the quadratic formula, factoring or graphing.
