A multiple of an integer is the product of that integer with a natural number.

Properties

• Every integer is a multiple of itself (${\displaystyle a=a\cdot 1)*Zeroisamultipleofeveryinteger(althoughnotconsideredinmanycases)(<math>0=0\cdot n}$)
• If ${\displaystyle a}$ and ${\displaystyle b}$ are multiples of ${\displaystyle x,}$ then ${\displaystyle a+b}$, ${\displaystyle a-b}$ and ${\displaystyle ab}$ are multiples of ${\displaystyle x.}$
